1. Overview

FindIT AI (“we”, “our”, “the app”) helps you locate lost items using your device camera and AI vision analysis. This Privacy Policy explains what information is used, how it is handled, and the choices you have.

2. Information we process

  • Camera frames: live images captured during a search session so AI can look for your item.
  • Item description: text (and optional voice-to-text) you provide about the lost item, colour, and details.
  • Optional reference photos: images you choose to help identify the item.
  • Search history & found thumbnails: stored on your device when history is enabled.
  • Device identifier: a random on-device ID used to associate search usage and subscription entitlement with this install.
  • Subscription / purchase data: handled by Apple In-App Purchase; we sync product and entitlement status to operate your plan limits.
  • Analysis telemetry: limited search/analysis event metadata (for example search id, status, confidence) may be stored to operate and improve reliability.

3. How AI analysis works

During a search, selected camera frames may be sent securely to our cloud AI endpoint (hosted with Supabase Edge Functions and processed by a vision model) to determine whether your item appears to be in view and to generate guidance.

Frames are used for the active search experience. Live scan frames are kept in memory during the session and are not stored as a permanent photo library by default. Analysis results (guidance, confidence, location hints) are used only to power searching.

4. On-device storage

Optional reference photos and found-item thumbnails may be saved locally in the app’s documents storage. Search history is stored on-device when enabled. You can delete history and reference photos anytime in Profile → Privacy & storage.

5. Subscriptions & usage

FindIT AI uses auto-renewable subscriptions managed by Apple. Your device identifier is used to track remaining searches for your active plan period. Purchase confirmation and billing are processed by Apple; we do not receive your full payment card details.

6. First-launch AI consent

On first install, FindIT AI asks for your consent to use camera frames with AI analysis. Your choice is saved on this device so we do not ask again unless you reset the app or clear its data.

7. Data sharing

We do not sell your personal information. Service providers that help us run FindIT AI (for example cloud hosting and AI inference) process data only to provide the service. We may disclose information if required by law.

8. Data retention

  • Live frames: session only (not kept as a default photo archive).
  • On-device history/thumbnails/reference photos: until you delete them or uninstall the app.
  • Usage / entitlement records linked to device id: retained while needed to operate subscriptions and prevent abuse.

9. Your controls

  • Revoke camera/microphone access in iOS Settings.
  • Disable or delete search history and reference photos in the app.
  • Manage or cancel subscriptions in Apple ID → Subscriptions.

10. Children

FindIT AI is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). Do not use the app if you are under that age.

11. International processing

Cloud processing may occur on servers located outside your country. By using FindIT AI you understand that analysis requests may be processed in those locations.

12. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy as the product evolves. The effective date above will change when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
